Crawford County Three-Day Release Window
No official Crawford County 72-hour released-inmate feed is currently available. The county's current Inmate Lists page sends a searcher to VINELink for a specific person. It does not publish a dated roll of all CCCF departures, provide a three-day selector, or state how long released records remain visible. VINELink likewise is not a county-wide chronological list.
A three-day inquiry remains possible through maintained records. Define the start and end of the period, ask CCCF Intake/Release about a named person when immediate confirmation matters, and submit a bounded Right-to-Know request if the goal is a documented set of release transactions. The request should identify the desired fields, since “released” can include bail, time served, county parole, a court order, payment through the court, or transfer to another custodian.
Check Crawford County 72-Hour Releases
Start with the agency that last held the person. Crawford County Correctional Facility creates the county custody transaction. PA DOC creates a state-prison release record, while BOP and ICE cover distinct federal custody. Mixing those sources can make one lawful transfer look like a release to the street.
- Set an exact three-day range and record the local start and end time. Use dates instead of “over the weekend” in any written request.
- For a named CCCF case, call Intake/Release at 814-333-7300 extension 1816 and ask whether the person left county custody by release or transfer.
- Search VINELink by name or ID, verify Crawford County or the correct reporting agency, and inspect the status. Treat it as an agency-fed event that can lag.
- Read the UJS docket for bail, sentence, dismissal, parole, time-served, or later orders. Use the filed order for legal context, not as the sole proof of physical departure.
- Submit a bounded county request for existing booking/release transactions, actual release dates and times, release types, authorities, and destinations where maintained and public.
- Follow a transfer into the receiving system. A PA DOC location, ICE result, or federal custody record means CCCF departure was not necessarily community release.
For an event from today, the Crawford County 24-Hour Release List procedure gives a tighter same-day sequence.
Crawford County Three-Day Record Fields
Crawford County has no present public 72-hour screen, so no current feed field list can be claimed. These are the focused fields supported by the county release-record research and suitable for a specific records request. Availability and redaction remain subject to the agency's records and law.
| Field | Why it matters across three days |
|---|---|
| Name and booking number | Prevents two people or separate bookings from being combined. |
| Booking or commitment date | Identifies the custody episode that ended or changed. |
| Actual release date and time | Places the executed CCCF departure inside the requested range. |
| Releasing facility | Confirms that the transaction came from CCCF rather than PA DOC or another jail. |
| Release authority or reason | Distinguishes bail, court action, county parole, sentence expiration, payment, or another basis. |
| Destination or receiving agency | Can show transfer rather than community release when recorded and public. |
The record should preserve the agency label. “Released from CCCF” means that Crawford County no longer held the booking. It does not state that all correctional custody ended. If another authority accepted the person, the next agency's record must answer the next custody question.
Crawford County Weekend Release Checks
A three-day period is especially useful when a release order, staff execution, and a public status update span different calendar days. CCCF publishes business-office hours, but those hours do not prove judicially authorized releases stop on weekends or holidays. No fixed Crawford weekend release rule, door time, or public batch schedule was found.
Keep each timestamp separate. The court docket may show when an order was filed. Intake/Release can address when CCCF executed it. VINELink may show a later agency-fed update. PA DOC states that its locator is updated daily, which is another reason not to force all systems into one timestamp. If the docket shows release but CCCF still reports custody, processing may be incomplete or another hold may apply.
A named-person search that reaches beyond a three-day range belongs in the Crawford County released-inmate lookup, which follows county, state, court, and federal custody paths.
Note: Office closure and custody operation are different facts; confirm the executed event with the agency rather than inferring it from posted office hours.
Crawford County Three-Day Records Request
Use the Crawford County online Right-to-Know form and direct a CCCF request to Open Records Officer Jennings Lockert at cforofficer@co.crawford.pa.us. Ask for an existing booking/release record set for exact dates. A request for named fields is stronger than a request asking the county to explain who “got out,” because Pennsylvania law does not require an agency to create a new record.
Useful wording is: “Please provide publicly accessible CCCF booking/release transactions with actual release dates from [start] through [end], including booking number, booking date, actual release date and time, release authority or type, and destination or receiving agency where recorded and public.” A broad request may require more time, redaction, or a permitted extension.
Under 65 P.S. § 67.901, the agency generally responds within five business days by granting, denying with legal reasons, or invoking an allowed extension. Section 902 governs extensions. Crawford lists black-and-white copies up to $0.25 per page, certification up to $5 per record, actual specialized-media and postage costs, and possible prepayment if estimated fees exceed $100.
For one person, VINELink may be quicker but is not a permanent certified archive. For a state-prison release, use the PA DOC Department Supervised Individual/Parolee search after release and DOC RTKL for the maintained discharge record. County RTKL does not create PA DOC records.
Crawford Daily Report Is Retired
Crawford's former Daily Report explains why old search results can look like a recent-release feed. Its indexed columns included inmate number, name, date of birth, booking number, booking date, release date, and charge material. One snapshot dated November 3, 2025 included released rows from October 29, October 31, and November 1 alongside blank release dates.
That example showed several prior days in one old report, but it did not define a rolling 72-hour design. It also did not prove full retention or a regular cadence. The old URL now returns 404, and the county's redesigned Inmate Lists page directs users to VINELink. The retired report must not be linked, framed, or captured as a current service.
The replacement Crawford County page is shown below.
The present page supports a person-specific VINE search, not a list of all Crawford County releases over three days.
Note: Cached copies may preserve old fields, but only current agency records can support a present release claim or a complete date range.
Crawford County Release Custody Layers
CCCF confirmation applies to a county booking. If Intake/Release says the person was transferred to PA DOC, use the state Inmate locator for present state custody. If the state prisoner later leaves prison for parole, switch to the Department Supervised Individual/Parolee side, which includes a release-date search input. That retrospective field is not a projected date for a current prisoner.
- County release
- CCCF executed a departure under bail, a court order, county parole, sentence expiration, payment, or another recorded basis.
- State transfer
- The person left CCCF but entered Pennsylvania DOC custody.
- State parole
- A state prisoner left confinement for DOC field supervision under a Parole Board decision.
- Federal departure
- BOP “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody” addresses BOP custody only.
- ICE release
- ICE ODLS may include some people released from ICE within roughly 60 days, subject to limits and delay.
The UJS docket remains useful for bail, sentence, disposition, and later orders. It cannot establish the precise physical exit by itself. For older county events, pair the docket with the CCCF release transaction; for state events, use PA DOC records and the Board Action when parole is involved.
Resolve Crawford County Release Conflicts
Conflicting results often reflect different sources, agencies, or update times. If a roster still shows custody after a reported release, compare timestamps and call the source. If the docket grants release but CCCF still reports custody, staff may not have completed the order or another hold may exist. If VINE says released while CCCF says transferred, both can be true relative to Crawford County custody.
The strongest evidence depends on the question. CCCF's executed transaction controls the county departure. The filed order controls the legal authority. PA DOC and Parole Board records control state custody and state supervision. BOP and federal court records apply to a federal sentence, while ICE applies to immigration detention. Report both source times when primary records disagree rather than selecting the more convenient result.
